Getting Started
Let's get started! The first step is to create a new Discord application!
Using the Flow Editor
Commands, event listeners and buttons are flows of blocks, which you build in the editor. Click on Save Changes to save a command or event listener. The flow of a button is saved with its message.
User Installable Apps
Discord apps are typically installed by server administrators and only work within their specific servers. However, Discord also supports user-installable apps that work across all servers a user has access to. While these apps have some limitations compared to server-installed apps, they're perfect for personal utility tools that you want to use anywhere.
ER:LC Discord Bot
Kite can connect your Discord bot to your Emergency Responsem or :kick from Discord, and post what happens in the game to a channel.
Cookie API Discord Bot
Kite can connect your Discord bot to Cookie API. Your bot can save ticket transcripts, make welcome cards, check new members with a captcha, link Minecraft accounts and make QR codes, all with blocks in the flow editor.

Building Flows with AI
The flow AI builds and changes flows for you. Describe what the flow should do, and it adds the blocks and connects them. You can also ask it how something works.
Publishing a Template
A template in the marketplace is added by servers you've never seen, with their own channels, roles and API keys. This guide is about building one that works for them, and getting it approved. How to create, update and share templates is in Templates and Sharing.
Building with AI Clients (MCP)
Kite is an MCP server, so AI clients like Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Codex can read and build your apps. You describe what your bot should do in the client, and it creates the commands, event listeners and message templates for you. It can also look at your logs to find out why a flow failed, and fix it.
